Kez L. Mayers has a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gonzaga University. Supervised by Zita L. Nickeson, M.Ed, LMHC, CST, Kez received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from City College of New York (CCNY). After graduating, she moved from New York, NY to Spokane, WA where she began working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), providing behavior therapy to children living with autism.
Kez is a Kink-Knowledgeable Professional through the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom, a member of the American Counseling Association, and holds a RBT license through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. She is currently pursuing a Certified Sex Educator and Certified Sex Therapist certification through the American College of Sexologists. She enjoys working with individuals, couples, polyamorous individuals and couples, Kink/BDSM identified individuals, children, people with Autism, and those who are coping with religious trauma. She has special interests in working within the sex therapy, ethnic minority counseling, and psychopharmacological fields. Her therapeutic approach involves attending to the needs of the client to ensure a safe and nonjudgmental environment while drawing upon a variety of therapeutic approaches including Adlerian, Gestalt, CBT, or ACT in order to assist her clients to facilitate growth and develop the tools necessary to do so.
Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Kez is proud to break barriers as an Afro-Caribbean counselor and researcher. As such, she is highly familiar with navigating the counseling needs of ethnic minorities and immigrants. She is conversational in Hindi. Marina Connor is a studying sex therapist with Gonzaga University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program under the supervision of Zita Nickeson, M.Ed., LMHC, CST. A native of Helena, Montana, Marina earned undergraduate degrees in anthropology and Spanish and a minor in English literature from the University of Montana. After graduating, she worked in human rights, election politics, Child and Family Services, and alongside sexologist Dr. Lindsey Doe of Dr. Lindsey Doe of Sexplanations on YouTube on YouTube .
Marina is explicitly sex, kink, polyamory, POC, LGBTQ, disability, and body positive-knowledgeable and affirming. As a studying sex therapist, Marina works with individuals, couples, and polyamorous relationships of all ages on issues including relationship strife, sexual or romantic incompatibility, sexual dysfunction, shame, abuse and trauma, kink/BDSM, gender therapy, low or high sexual desire, anorgasmia, pain with sex, and sex work. Related, she is a Kink-Knowledgeable Professional through the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom , a member of the American Counseling Association's LGBTQ advocacy organization , and is currently pursuing certification as a Certified Sex Educator through the American College of Sexologists . Additionally, Marina is particularly knowledgeable about serving the needs of survivors of trauma, survivors of suicide loss, dual diagnoses and personality disorders, and end-of-life considerations. Additionally, she is a human rights activist who strives to expand the rights of women, people of color, immigrants, people living with disabilities, the poor, and LGBTQ people; and to develop the US health care system into a universal single-payer model as a basic human right.
